Blood Drive Donors Needed

Blood Drive Donors Needed

Blood Drive Donors Needed

February 28, to March 14, 2021

Why donate? The need for blood is still a daily challenge as donations are continuing to drop and our local supply is at critical levels. When you donate blood, you save as many as three people’s lives. At this special blood drive, a financial donation will be made on your behalf to the St Winifred food pantry which will provide as many as 25 meals to families in need. Funding arranged by the Blood Science Foundation. And, all donations are tested for Covid-19 antibodies!

Is it safe? Vitalant is following all CDC safety protocols including requiring masks, taking temperatures, providing sanitizing stations, performing additional cleaning and maintaining 6 ft. social distancing.

How does a “virtual blood drive” work? Donations can be made at any Vitalant donation center or blood drive from Feb. 24 to March 10. Appointments are encouraged! To help us track your donation for our blood drive, please follow these steps: (NOTE:  If you already have an account with Vitalant (formerly Central Blood Bank), enter the email address associated with your account on the sign-up sheet.)
  • After completing your “sign-up” form you will receive an email to help you make an appointment. When your email arrives, click “Schedule Now” to reserve a time slot at any Vitalant donor center or blood drive from Sunday, February 28 to Sunday, March 7, 2021. (Hint: Search using your zip code to look for a location near you.)
  • Prepare for your donation by eating a healthy meal and drinking plenty of water.  Remember to bring a photo ID with you. (Important:  At the drive, give the St. Paul of the Cross Group Code G0040299 to the person who conducts your mini-physical.)
  • If you have any issues with scheduling, please contact Kathy Ryan at

Thanks for supporting patients in need by donating blood during our virtual blood drive!
