Capital Campaign Getting Underway

In September, Elizabeth Breslin from Lynch Development Associates, arrived on site to undertake final preparations for our parish’s Capital Campaign, which will run throughout the Fall. She will be working out of the Parish Office through the end of November.

As you may recall, the purpose of the Campaign will be to raise funds to greatly improve our parish facilities on the Saint Anne campus, making them fully accessible, beautiful, and up to date to meet the needs of a contemporary parish the size of Saint Paul of the Cross.

Essentially, there will be three to four phases to the renovations slated to take place, depending on how everything plays out:

1) The interior restoration of Saint Anne church. (Winter 2023)

2) The renovation and reconfiguring of Harkins Hall into accessible meeting rooms for our many ministries and organizations, including the installation of an elevator. (Fall 2023)

3) The construction of a new Parish Center with large meeting Hall and new, accessible Parish Offices. (2025/26)

4) Demolition of former convent. Property/Parking Lot/Landscaping Work. (Date TBD)

Of course, the projected dates are just that –“projected”. And the final scale of Phases three and four will be determined by the amount of money on hand from the Capital Campaign and eventual sale of the Saint Winifred campus to the South Hills Catholic Academy.

Please stay tuned. More information about the Capital Campaign and associated projects will be forthcoming in the near future. For now, please keep the parish and what we’re hoping to do in your daily prayers.
