Started in 1982, the Saint Winifred Food Pantry is operated by a coalition of St. Vincent de Paul Conferences and parishioners from four parishes: Saint Paul of the Cross Parish, Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, Resurrection Parish, and Our Lady of Hope Parish.
It is primarily supported by the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, as well as donations and food drives by members of the four parishes above, and the generosity of numerous local faith groups and organizations.
The pantry's mission is to feed food-insecure individuals and families living predominantly in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. No one is turned away.
Saint Winifred Food Pantry offers visitors a shopping list of available items, rather than a pre-boxed selection, to give their guests the opportunity to choose the desired food and other products they receive.
Located at 2840 Library Rd, The Tri-River Building, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15234, the food panty is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9:15 AM to 11:15 AM by appointment only, with the last appointment at 11:00 AM. Home deliveries are also available to shut-ins on Saturdays.
