Mass Intentions for the New Year

2026 Mass Intentions

Mass Intentions for the New Year

Reservations for the 2026 Mass Intention Book can be made in person starting Friday, August 8, between 9:00 AM and noon in the Convent Dining Room.

There will be a limit of 3 Masses per household. Requests will be honored on a first come - first served basis with in-person requests given priority. A $10 offering, as determined by the Diocese of Pittsburgh, is requested for each intention. Mass intentions must be made in person or by mail. Intentions will not be scheduled over the phone or by email.

In-person request will be given priority, but you are permitted to mail your requests to the parish office. If you mail your request, please print neatly who the mass intention is for, and who it is "requested by".  Include your stipend for the mass(es) and your phone number.

Only one intention may be scheduled per Mass; however, Mass intentions may be offered for a family name.

We are unable to schedule Mass intentions for the three days of the Sacred Triduum: Holy Thursday, Good Friday, or Holy Saturday.

Please note, we cannot guarantee that all Mass intentions will be fulfilled at St. Paul of the Cross Parish. Church law does not permit us to keep Mass intentions for longer than one year.

Please direct questions to Sue Novelli at (412) 531-5964 or snovelli@stpaulofthecross.com.
